Remove Watermark from Video hides a static overlay — a channel logo, camera date stamp, burned-in caption, screen-recorder badge or watermark — from your footage. Load the clip, find a frame where the overlay is visible, drag a rectangle over it and pick how to hide it: Smart fill (FFmpeg's delogo filter, which reconstructs the area from the surrounding pixels and works best for small logos and text), Blur (pixelates the area) or Black box (covers it completely).

The tool runs entirely in your browser on ffmpeg.wasm, so the video is never uploaded and there is no signup or watermark of our own. It is meant for cleaning up your own recordings: removing the date/time stamp a camera burned in, hiding a personal detail or a stock-footage badge you have licensed, or covering an old logo before re-branding. It cannot magically restore what is under a large opaque overlay, and it does not work on watermarks that move or change position over time.

Why use this tool

Smart fill, blur or cover

delogo reconstructs small marks from their surroundings; blur and black box give you honest ways to hide personal details.

Pixel-precise selection

Scrub to the right frame and draw the box directly on the video; the exact source-pixel coordinates are shown so you can redo it precisely.

Nothing leaves your device

The clip is processed in your browser with WebAssembly — no upload, no account, no watermark added.

Audio untouched

Only the selected area of the picture is modified; sound is copied through without re-encoding.

How to use the Remove Watermark from Video

  1. Upload the video

  2. Find a frame with the overlay

  3. Draw a box over it

Drag a rectangle over the area with the mouse or your finger, leaving a small margin around the mark.

  4. Pick a hiding method

Smart fill for logos and text, Blur to obscure, Black box to cover completely.

  5. Process and download

Click Remove Watermark, wait for ffmpeg.wasm to render the clip on your device and download the MP4.

Popular use cases

  • Removing the date and time stamp a camcorder or dashcam burned into the corner of a recording.
  • Hiding a screen-recorder or trial-software badge from a tutorial you recorded yourself.
  • Blurring a face, licence plate, address or phone number before sharing a clip publicly.
  • Covering an old logo or lower-third caption before re-using footage under new branding.

Frequently asked questions

Is the watermark remover free and private?
Yes. It is free, needs no account and adds no watermark of its own. All processing happens on your device with ffmpeg.wasm; nothing is uploaded or stored.
How well does it remove a watermark?
Smart fill (delogo) reconstructs the selected box from its edges, so small logos, thin text and date stamps over a fairly uniform background disappear almost completely. Over busy backgrounds the area may look slightly smeared. Blur and Black box do not remove anything — they visibly hide the region, which is often the honest choice for personal details.
Can it remove a moving or animated watermark?
No. The box you draw is fixed for the whole clip. If the overlay changes position, either trim the video into parts and process each one, or use a larger box that covers every position it takes.
How do I select the exact area?
Use the Frame slider to jump to a moment where the overlay is clearly visible, then drag a rectangle over it with the mouse or your finger. The selected size and position in source pixels are shown under the preview; redraw to adjust. Leave a small margin around the logo — delogo works better when the box is slightly larger than the mark.
Which mode should I choose?
Smart fill for logos, watermarks and text; Blur when you want to obscure a face, licence plate or personal data; Black box when the region must be completely unreadable, for example an address or a phone number.
Does it reduce the video quality?
Only the selected region is altered. The whole picture is re-encoded once with H.264 at CRF 20 (visually near-lossless), and the audio track is copied unchanged.
Is it legal to remove a watermark?
Removing a watermark from someone else's copyrighted video to pass it off as your own is not allowed. Use this tool on footage you own or have the right to modify — your own recordings, licensed stock clips, screen captures with a recorder badge, or videos where you are covering personal information.
What formats are supported?
MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI, M4V, FLV, WMV, MPG and 3GP can be loaded; the result is saved as MP4 with the original audio.
