Merge & Join Videos combines two or more video clips into a single continuous file in the order you arrange them. Upload your clips, drag them into sequence, and download one seamless video — no watermark, no signup, and no length or clip-count limits beyond what your device can handle.

Everything runs locally in your browser using ffmpeg.wasm (a WebAssembly build of FFmpeg) and the concat demuxer, so your clips are never uploaded to any server. That makes it a fast, private choice for content creators, social media managers, educators, and anyone stitching together screen recordings, phone footage, or downloaded clips on desktop or mobile.

Why use this tool

100% private, nothing uploaded

Your clips are merged locally in your browser with ffmpeg.wasm and never leave your device, so sensitive or unreleased footage stays completely private.

Lossless joins when clips match

Clips that share a codec and resolution are concatenated with stream copy, producing one continuous video with zero re-encoding and zero quality loss.

Handles mismatched clips automatically

Mixing a phone clip with a screen recording or a downloaded file? Differing clips are re-encoded to align, so the merge still works without manual format conversion.

Unlimited clips, no signup or watermark

Join as many videos as your device can handle into one file for free — no account, no watermark, and no per-merge limits.

How to use the Merge & Join Videos

  1. Add your video clips

Drag and drop or click to upload two or more video files such as MP4, MOV, MKV, or WebM.

  2. Arrange the order

Reorder the clips into the exact sequence you want them to play, top to bottom, in the final video.

  3. Check clip compatibility

For an instant, lossless join, use clips with the same resolution and codec; mismatched clips are automatically re-encoded to align.

  4. Merge the videos

Click Merge to join all clips into one continuous MP4 using ffmpeg.wasm and the concat demuxer, watching the progress bar.

  5. Download the merged video

Download your single combined MP4 file — no watermark and no upload required.

Popular use cases

  • Stitching several short phone clips into one continuous video to post on social media or send to family.
  • Combining multiple screen recordings into a single tutorial or product demo before sharing it.
  • Joining downloaded lecture or webinar segments into one file for offline viewing or archiving.
  • Merging separate intro, main, and outro clips into a finished video for YouTube or a course module.

Frequently asked questions

Is this video merger free to use?
Yes, Merge & Join Videos is completely free with no signup, no watermark, and no limit on how many clips you can join. Every feature works in your browser at no cost.
Are my videos uploaded to a server when I merge them?
No. All merging happens locally in your browser using ffmpeg.wasm (WebAssembly). Your video files never leave your device and are never uploaded to ClipTools or any third party, which makes the tool fully private.
What video formats can I merge?
You can merge MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI, FLV, WMV, and M4V files. The output is a standard MP4. For the cleanest result, use clips that share the same codec, resolution, and frame rate.
Can I merge videos that have different resolutions or formats, and will quality drop?
Yes. Clips that already share a codec, resolution, and frame rate are joined with the concat demuxer using stream copy, so there is zero quality loss. Clips that differ are automatically re-encoded to H.264 so they can align into one file, which takes longer but keeps quality high.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no fixed server limit because processing is local, but total size is bound by your device's available memory. Most browsers comfortably handle several clips totaling up to about 1 GB; on phones or low-RAM machines, keep the combined size smaller.
How long does merging take?
Merging matching clips is nearly instant because frames are copied without re-encoding. Joining clips that differ in format or resolution requires re-encoding and depends on the total length and your device's speed — usually under a couple of minutes for short clips.
Can I change the order of the clips before merging?
Yes. After uploading, you arrange the clips into the exact sequence you want, and they are joined top-to-bottom in that order. Reorder them before processing to control how the final video plays from start to finish.
Do the clips need audio, and will the audio stay in sync?
Clips can have audio or not. Each clip's audio is carried into the merged file in order; when clips share the same audio codec the streams are copied directly, keeping audio aligned with its video throughout the joined result.
